Spirituality, New Age and Alternative Beliefs

One of the greatest shifts in consciousness in modern times is the evolution of peoples spirituality, new age awareness and the preference for alternative beliefs in comparison to those traditional core religions.

This indicates that the general consciousness of the world is evolving. People are therefore searching for something higher or more a consequence of this evolution. Your increased conscious awareness of your spiritual nature slowly brings you in alignment with cosmic energy.

When you're fully attuned or aligned with the cosmic, then you've reached enlightenment. The At-one-ment that you experience is nirvana, bliss, absolute. Very few people in the history of mankind have reached a state of enlightenment. It takes years of constant practice and many lifetimes before ones karma has gone through all the lessons to be learned before enlightenment can be achieved.

You don't necessarily have to concentrate on enlightenment. You can create sufficient joy, prosperity and success in your life by daily attunement exercises and meditation. Coordinated with physical exercise you can create a well-balanced joyous life, full of prosperity and well-being.

Astrology

Astrology is a belief system which holds that the relative positions of celestial bodies can provide information about personality, human affairs and other "earthly" matters. Astrologers generally believe that the movements and positions of celestial bodies can inform them about events experienced on a human scale or that predictions can be made from them.

Hypnosis

Hypnosis is a mental state or imaginative role-enactment. It is usually induced by a procedure known as a hypnotic induction, which is commonly composed of a long series of preliminary instructions and suggestions.

Hypnotic suggestions may be delivered by a hypnotist in the presence of the subject, or may be self-administered through self-suggestion or autosuggestion. The use of hypnotism for therapeutic purposes is referred to as "hypnotherapy", while its use as a form of entertainment for an audience is known as "stage hypnosis".

The words hypnosis and hypnotism both derive from the term neuro-hypnotism (nervous sleep) coined by the Scottish surgeon James Braid around 1841.

Magic

Magic is the claimed art of altering things either by supernatural means or through knowledge of occult natural laws unknown to science. Magic has been practiced in all cultures, and utilizes ways of understanding, experiencing and influencing the world somewhat akin to those offered by religion, though it is sometimes regarded as more focused on achieving results than religious worship. Magic is often viewed with suspicion by the wider community, and is commonly practiced in isolation and secrecy.

Numerology

Paranormal is a general term that designates experiences that lie outside "the range of normal experience or scientific explanation" The paranormal indicates phenomena that are understood to be outside of science's current ability to explain or measure.

Paranormal phenomena are distinct from certain hypothetical entities, such as dark matter and dark energy, insofar as paranormal phenomena are inconsistent with the world as already understood through empirical observation coupled with scientific methodology.

Psychics

A psychic, also called sensitive, is a person who professes an ability to perceive information hidden from the normal senses through extrasensory perception (ESP).

It is also used to describe theatrical performers who use techniques such as prestidigitation, cold reading, and hot reading to produce the appearance of such abilities. It can also denote an ability of the mind to influence the world physically and to the telekinetic powers allegedly professed by those such as Uri Geller.

Tarot

The tarot is a pack of cards (most commonly numbering 78), used from the mid-15th century in various parts of Europe to play a group of card games such as Italian tarocchini and French tarot. From the late 18th century until the present time the tarot has also found use by mystics and occultists in efforts at divination or as a map of mental and spiritual pathways.

Witchcraft

Witchcraft, in various historical, anthropological, religious and mythological contexts, is the alleged use of supernatural or magical powers. Historically, it was widely believed that witchcraft involved the use of these powers to inflict harm upon members of a community or their property.

Since the mid 20th century, the term witchcraft has sometimes been used to distinguish between bad witchcraft and good witchcraft, with the latter often involving healing.
